This pastel painting was only recently made from a photo I took in Ontario, Canada some years ago. I loved the peaceful feel and the colours. To accentuate this I used a very dark blue pastel paper.

More pastel paintings
I had started this painting of Delicate Arch in Utah National Park, USA before I had my hip op. and finished it about a month ago. As a source I used a photo sent to me by a Canadian friend who had recently visited - but I had been there myself in 1971. I remember it as we had to start walking from the campsite very early in the morning as it was so hot. This desert park is wonderful with amazing formations. I really should have put a person in to give some idea of scale.
